What does PuryFile remove from a file?

PuryFile removes hidden metadata that can describe where a file came from, which device made it, which app edited it, and other technical details. You can review the detected metadata before you clean the file.

Do my files leave my iPhone?

No. PuryFile cleans files on your iPhone. It does not need an account, and it does not upload your files to a server for cleanup.

Which file types can I clean?

You can clean common image, document, audio, and video files. This includes JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, RAW photos, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, and M4V.

Can I clean many files at once?

Yes. You can select more than one file and clean the batch in one flow. PuryFile shows progress and keeps the results clear for each file.

What happens to my original files?

PuryFile creates clean copies. Your original files stay under your control, so you can choose what to save or share.

Where can I save the clean files?

You can save clean photos and videos to Photos. You can also save clean files to Files, or share them with the iOS Share Sheet.

Can I check what was changed later?

Yes. PuryFile keeps a local history of recent cleanup sessions. You can also create a signed privacy report when you need proof of what was cleaned.

What if a file is in iCloud and not downloaded yet?

PuryFile can ask iOS to download the file from iCloud before cleanup. If the download is still in progress, the app tells you, then continues when the file is available.

Can I clean files from another app?

Yes. You can use the iOS Share Sheet to send a supported file to PuryFile. This helps when you want to clean a file just before you share it.

Why should I use a privacy report?

A privacy report gives you a clear record of a cleanup session. It is useful when you need to show what was cleaned or keep a record for sensitive work.

Does PuryFile remove all possible private information?

PuryFile removes supported metadata from supported file types. Some files can include visible content, watermarks, text, or app-specific data that are not metadata. Review the file before you share it.

Can I remove the local history?

Yes. History is stored on your device, and you can clear it in the app.
